STATEMENT OF MANAGEMENT OF ROSTOV NUCLEAR PLANT, 
A BRANCH OF ROSENERGOATOM CONCERN OJSC, 
ON THE POLICY IN THE FIELD OF LABOUR SAFETY

The management of Rostov NPP, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, acknowledges its responsibility to its employees and other interested parties for the condition of labor safety at the enterprise.

Rostov NPP management’s purpose in this direction is as follows:

• Saving of the employees’ lives and health;
• Labor safety in compliance with the Russian Federation legal provisions in the field of labor safety and modern state of science and engineering development;

To achieve the purpose set in the field of labor safety, Rostov NP management, in accordance with its authorities, provided by Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, following the operating organization technical policy and the policy in the field of labor safety, requirements of labor safety provisions and rules, solves the following problems:

• guarantee that the personnel should understand and implement this policy, their aims, responsibility and powers in the system of labour safety management;
• strict observance of Russian legislation in force, international agreements, branch and local normative requirements on labor safety;
• making and performance of any production and management decisions with an obligatory account of labor safety requirements;
• improvement of labor safety management structure and system;
• application of the standards and provisions in the field of labor safety, accepted at Rostov NPP, to the workers and suppliers of contracting organizations.

The tasks in the field of labor safety are performed by means of:

• NPP labor safety management; 
• planning of work on labor safety;
• compliance of the operation procedures with the technical regulation requirements in the field of labor safety;
• organization of scheduled checks and permanent control over labor safety condition in accordance with the applicable procedures;
• modernization, technical renewal and maximal use of the NP power units technical resources;
• permanent work on maintaining of staff qualification support, improvement of its qualification level and safety culture;
• regular analysis of the achieved level of labor safety and its indexes, development and implementation of the necessary measures for its improvement.

  
The management guarantees that any initiatives of Rostov NP employees, aimed at provision and improvement of labor safety within the framework of the stated policy, will be supported and appreciated by the management.
