The main branches of Rostov NPP international activity are:

• reception of foreign specialists visiting Rostov NPP as part of the programs of twinning arrangements, for participation in international seminars organized at Rostov NPP, conducting the works on the construction, arrangement and testing of new power units.
• Sending of Rostov NPP specialists abroad for the purpose of experience exchange, for business trips, for participation in international seminars and assemblies.

International scientific and technical collaboration is performed under the guidance of such international organizations as WANO, IAEA.

Thus, in 2010 the pre-commissioning partner testing of the second Rostov NPP power unit No. 2 became a significant event. Within the period from March 15 to 26 an international team of WANO experts, consisting of nuclear plants workers, conducted a testing aimed at revealing of the plant strong points, as well as fields of its production activity, the work in which could be improved in order to raise the level of the NPP safe and reliable operation. The experts observed the works being carried out at the plant, interviewed the plant personnel, studied and analyzed the documents.

In June, 2010 the Coordination Committee of Électricité de France (France) and Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC was held at Rostov NPP. Rosenergoatom Concern representatives discussed with their French colleagues the concept of new reactors development, the development of the collaboration between Russian and French NPPs, visited Rostov NPP power units Nos. 1 and 2 site.

The heads of Rostov NPP pay much attention to the issue of international activity development. A. V. Palamarchuk, Rostov NPP Director, in 2001 took part in WANO General Assembly organized in Deli city (India), annual meeting of WANO Moscow centre Directors boarding and VGB (Germany) Technical Association of heat and electricity power producers in Switzerland. The participation of Rostov NPP Director in WANO-MC Governors Boarding that will take place in Prague (Czechia) in September, 2010.

A.A. Salnikov, Rostov NPP Chief engineer, took part in the seminar of NPP technical heads, on the topic of “Safety Guarantee at NPP power units shutdown” in June, 2010, the seminar was organized in the USA.
 
Within the framework of bilateral collaboration, Rostov NPP cooperates with Khmelnitsk NPP (Ukraine), Temelin NPP (Czechia).
