Collective agreement is the basis for social policy

Within the last three years, Rostov NPP became the winner of the regional competition “Collective Agreement is the Basis of the Production Efficiency and the Employees’ Social and Labor Rights Protection”. Thus, the nuclear plant collective agreement is acknowledged as the best one in the region.


At the meeting of the collective agreement NPP parties that took place on February 18, 2011, it was admitted that: “The collective agreement for 2010-2013 of employees of Rostov nuclear plant, a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, was completely fulfilled in 2010”. 


The representatives of the NPP collective agreement parties of both the employers and employees, included in the commission on the nuclear plant social and labor relations regulation, were present at the meeting, as well as Director and Chief Engineer deputies, subdivisions heads, Chairmen of Rostov NPP department committees invited.


The parties’ representatives adopted a number of corrective amendments into Rostov NPP collective agreement for 2011, connected with the enterprise organization activity, changes in the corporate agreement and Federal Law No. 225-FZ of 29.12.2006. 


The changes touch upon the questions of labor safety conditions improvement, provision of bonuses and guarantees to the enterprise specialists and the retired, organization of sports and recreation and mass culture work at the NPP. All of them were accepted unanimously.


Rostov NPP Social Programs


The nuclear plant management cares not only of its operating employees. Veterans, the retired, atomists’ family members are encompassed with care and attention. 


The plant veterans’ council performs great work on the programs of atomic veterans social support and leisure time organization. These are sanatorium and resort treatment, help in difficult life situations, and as well joint leisure time activities: organized visits to the theatres and concerts, excursions in the Don River cities and neighboring regions. 


The plant employees’ children spend their holidays in recreational centers and sanatoriums using subsidized sanatoria and holiday-homes pass, visit culture and recreational centers, and go on excursions to Russian cities.


Atomists’ family members are constant participants of corporate events: contests, tournaments, festivals.


The project of mortgage housing construction program is successfully realized. Rostov NPP implements the concessional program of accommodation provision for its employees.


Young specialists and young workers, graduates from higher educational institutions, coming to Rostov NPP from other areas, are provided with beds in the NPP department hostel and with “official” housing for temporary living.


Each housing project allocates not less than 10% of the flats for selling to young specialists and young workers under the terms defined by the subprogram “Guarantees to Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Young Employees” and Rostov NPP Regulations on the Housing Commission.


Social responsibility is a priority atomists’ position. The plant management pays much attention to these issues. Any employee of such an enterprise as a nuclear plant must not only work well, but also have a perfect rest, feel certain about the next day, feel the staff and management support.
