The Kursk NPP-2: Rostechnadzor has licensed construction
On May 31, 2016, the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Atomic Supervision (Rostechnadzor) has issued a license for the Kursk NPP-2 construction. Once the license is confirmed at the Rosatom State Corporation, the soil replacement activities at the replacement station construction site will start at the ditch.

During the anniversary Tenth International Scientific and Technical Conference “Safety, Efficiency and Economics of Nuclear Power Industry” (MNTK-2016) opened in Moscow on May 25, 2016, the Rosenergoatom Concern CEO Andrey Petrov stated that the atomic generation’s share in Russia might increase from 18.6% to 21% by 2030.
