Rusatom Service and Assystem laying the foundations of future collaboration

Rusatom Service and Assystem signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 31st of May in Moscow in a framework of the 8-th International ATOMEXPO-2016 forum.

The document was signed by Mr. E. Salkov, Director General of Rusatom Service and Mr. S. Aubarbier, Vice-President of Assystem and Vice-President of Assystem and Energy & Infrastructure CEO, for identification of further ways of cooperation.

The document outlines the work that ROSATOM and Assystem do together in the field of maintenance and repair of nuclear power plants in Russia and abroad, long term operation and modernization projects, as well as in the development of necessary national nuclear infrastructure in third countries.

In the near future, both companies agreed to consider various potential forms of collaboration, including commercial cooperation, sharing information and experience on matters of mutual interest and other joint activities.

JSC «Rusatom Service» was founded in 2011 and became a member of the "Electric Power" division of The Rosatom State Corporation. The company provides full range of services and supplies required for maintenance and repair for the foreign nuclear power plants that operate VVER-type reactors. Now, the company has been present on the market in 11 countries worldwide and services 22 of 37 existing NPP VVER power units outside Russia.

Assystem employs about 12000 engineers in continental Europe, UK, Middle East, Africa, India and Southeast Asia. Assystem delivers PMC, design (FEED, detail), EPCM and critical system integration to public bodies, utilities and private owners.
