Dementiev Andrey Alexandrovich


Andrey Alexandrovich was born in the city of Tomsk on November 16, 1960.

In 1983, he graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a major in Atomic electric power plants and installations and an occupation of heat and power engineer.

During the period of 1983-1999, he worked at the Bilibino NPP, with his career path being tremendous. Up to 1988, he used to work as a block management engineer and the senior block management engineer. Until 1992, he held a position of the reactor and turbine room shift leader. Up to 1997, he was the deputy chief engineer on nuclear safety. Between 1997 and 1999, he was employed as the Bilibino NPP chief engineer.

In 1999, he was appointed to be a deputy head of the Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company Reconstruction and life extension department (Moscow).

In 2003, he worked as a deputy head of the Rosenergoatom NPP modernization and life extension department.

Between 2003 and 2009, he headed the Rosenergoatom NPP modernization and life extension department.

In 2009-2010, he managed the Rosenergoatom’s NPP life extension, planning, modernization, and resource provision department.

In 2010, he was appointed a deputy director for NPP production and operation – a director of the Rosenergoatom production planning, modernization, and life extension department.

Since September 2016, he has been working as a Deputy CEO – the NPP production and operation director at the Rosenergoatom.

Holds multiple governmental and ministerial awards, as well as honorary ranks:

  • 1999 – An honorary power engineer of the Russian Federation;
  • 1998 – A Certificate of Merit from the Ministry and the Trade Union Central Committee;
  • 1999 – An Acknowledgment from the Russian Ministry of Nuclear Power;
  • 2003 - A Certificate of Merit from the Russian Ministry of Nuclear Power;
  • 2010 – A 4th order Award pin “I.V. Kurchatov”;
  • 2002 – The Rosenergoatom’s silver medal “In recognition of promoting nuclear power plants’ safety”.
  • 2004 – An Acknowledgment from the Rosenergoatom CEO;
  • 2010 – An Acknowledgment from the Rosenergoatom CEO;
  • 2010 – A rank of “The atomic power industry veteran”;
  • 2010 – An Acknowledgment from the Rosenergoatom CEO;
  • 2011 – An Acknowledgment from the Rosenergoatom CEO;
  • 2014 – An honorary power engineer;
  • 2015 – The Rosenergoatom’s golden medal “In recognition of promoting nuclear power plants’ safety”.
