The turbogenerator №3 of the second power unit was plugged in after technology works on April 9, 2015, at 05:10. The power unit №2 is working at full capacity.

There are three power units operating at the moment at the Smolensk NPP. The total capacity is 3160 megawatts.

During 10 days of April the Smolensk NPP power units have developed 666 million kWh of electricity,  it exceeds the planned target on 11 million kWh.

Since the beginning of the year it has been produced 7.508 billion kWh, over the plan - 301 million kWh.

The radiation background is unchanged and corresponds to natural values on an industrial platform of the Smolensk nuclear power plant and the surrounding territory.

The Smolensk nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The SNPP annually issues on the average about 20 billion kilowatts hours of the electric power into country power supply system, that constitutes about 13% of the energy, developed in «Rosenergoatom Concern», and more than 80% of the Smolensk region energy, developed by the power entities.
