There are two power units in work at the Smolensk NPP. The total capacity is 2095 megawatts. There are no comments to work of the equipment. Power unit №1 has been in scheduled maintenance for a period of 60 days since April 12.

The Smolensk NPP power units developed 1 billion 776 million kilowatt hours of electricity in April, exceeding the planned target by 53 million kilowatt hours. It has been produced 8 billion 619 million kilowatt hours of electricity since the beginning of the year, over the plan - 344 million kilowatt hours.

The radiation background is unchanged and corresponds to natural values on an industrial platform of the Smolensk nuclear power plant and the surrounding territory.

The Smolensk nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The SNPP annually issues on the average about 20 billion kilowatts hours of the electric power into country power supply system, that constitutes about 13% of the energy, developed in «Rosenergoatom Concern», and more than 80% of the Smolensk region energy, developed by the power entities.
