The Smolensk NPP: May plan for electric power generation made by 104%

The Smolensk NPP power units developed 1 billion 547 million kilowatt hours of electricity in May, which is on 63 million kilowatt-hours more than the planned target had been.
 
10 billion 165 million kilowatt hours have been produced since the beginning of the year, over the plan - 406 million kilowatt hours.

The Smolensk NPP has three power units operating at the moment. The total capacity is 2120 megawatts. There are no comments to the equipments’ work.

Power unit №1 was restarted after scheduled maintenance on June 1. Acceptance tests are being conducted at the power unit according to the schedule.

The radiation background is unchanged and corresponds to natural values on an industrial platform of the Smolensk nuclear power plant and the surrounding territory.

The Smolensk nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The SNPP annually issues on the average about 20 billion kilowatts hours of the electric power into country power supply system, that constitutes about 13% of the energy, developed in «Rosenergoatom Concern», and more than 80% of the Smolensk region energy, developed by the power entities.
