The Beloyarsk NPP is continuing its preparation for the OSART mission – this verification by the IAEA is scheduled for 2021. As a part of such mission, international experts audit around 15 areas of operation, which is preceded by the preparation consulting seminars including the IAEA experts.

THE KALININ NPP INFORMATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS ADMINISTRATION
The team of international experts has evaluated the preparedness of the Kalinin NPP for the OSART IAEA mission
On November 29, 2019, a two-weeks evaluation mission held by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to verify the preparedness of the Kalinin NPP to the OSART (Operating Safety Analysis Review Team), which is to take place at this NPP in April 2020. The international team comprised experts from Canada, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia and Russia.

Novovoronezh NPP: specialists from Finland and their counterparts in Novovoronezh exchanged their experience in terms of communications
A delegation from the Finnish company Fennovoima Oy and representatives of AO Rusatom Energo International (AO REIN) and RAOS Project Oy working jointly on the construction project of the one-block Hanhikivi-1 NPP with a VVER-1200 reactor in the Finnish province of Northern Ostrobothnia paid a working visit to the Novovoronezh NPP.

Rosenergoatom: valuable cobalt-60 isotopes are now produced by all three power blocks of the Smolensk NPP
The upload of additional cobalt absorbents into the third power block’s reactor has been finalized at the Smolensk NPP (city of Desnogorsk, Smolensk region). Now, all three power blocks of the NPP make their contribution to the production of this valuable isotope for health care and manufacturing.

The international WANO experts have visited the Beloyarsk NPP prior to the corporate partnership verification for Rosenergoatom
The preliminary visit of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) experts to the Beloyarsk NPP, which took place on November 25-27, 2019, became the first step on the way to the corporate partnership verification, which is to be conducted at the Rosenergoatom Joint-Stock Company in 2020 by the international nuclear association.

The Kursk NPP-2 construction team has completed all key milestones for 2019
The assembly of component support for the installation of the second power blocks inner reactor containment dome’s first circle has been completed at the Kursk NPP-2 construction site. That said, all 13 key milestones planned for 2019, including two governmental assignments – the installation of the 1st power block’s molten core catcher and the 2nd power block’s reactor foundation frame concreting - have been delivered.

The Rosenergoatom Joint-Stock company is planning to triple the production of non-organic sorbents Thermoxid by 2023
The Rosenergoatom Joint-Stock Company (a part of the Electric power division of the Rosatom State Corporation) and an engineering company OOO Region (Saint-Petersburg) have entered into an agreement to conduct a feasibility study on upscaling the production of such sorbents and a marketing analysis of expanding their usage in the Russian Federation.
