On July 23, 2013 at the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant started Affiliate visit within the framework of which will be analyzed and studied the positive experience of Novovoronezhskaya  nuclear specialists in the field of radioactive waste management.

- The Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant consistently deals with issues of the radioactive waste management from the 60th, – Alexander Prytkov, the deputy chief engineer for safety and reliability emphasized. Our experts have developed activities that led processes of the radioactive waste management to an acceptable condition. We have achieved in this field success, therefore, we are happy to share these experiences with our colleagues.

Heads of production units take part in work on studying and distribution of positive practice according to the radioactive waste management of the Beloyarskaya, Balakovoskaya, Rostovskaya, Smolenskaya, Kalininskaya, Kurskaya, Leningradskaya, Kolskaya, Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plants, and also representatives of JSC "SOKB "Vektor", JSC "Science-Technology-Production", Federal State Unitary Enterprise "ROSRAO", "Federal State Unitary Enterprise RADON", "VNIIAES", JSC "NEOLANT", "JSC NET", "ODITS".

The Russian power system by right is in the lead in the world. But we have never had system approach to distribution of an own experience before emergence of the program on implementation and enhancement of positive practice. Carrying out the Affiliate visit is one of forms of implementation of this program, – preceding work within Affiliate visit, Sergey Budukin, the chief expert of Inspection department of safety and JSC Rosenergoatom Concern production told. – The basis of all positive practices are routine inspections of the state of operational safety. Today  our database has already included 137 such positive practician.

Within Partner visit thematic reports with their subsequent discussions will be given. Participants of visit will visit nuclear power plant divisions in which competence there are questions of the radioactive waste management.
