On October 30, 2013 the first deputy director general on operation management of «Rosatom» State corporation Alexander Lokshin visited the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2.

He visited a reactor building, the turbine building, the building of the complete distributing gas-insulated device on voltage of 200 kV (KRUE-220) and the building of a start-up and reserve boiler room.

After completion of survey there took place the production meeting with participation of «Rosatom» State Corporation representatives, JSC «Rosenergoatom» Concern, the Customer – the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant and the Prime contractor – JSC «Atomenergoproekt» on which the course of construction of nuclear station was discussed.

Alexander Lokshin noted that on a platform positive changes are visible. «The last time I was on the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2 in August, since then a lot of things have changed for the better, – he told. – I want to wish to the Novovoronezhskaya platform successes sincerely. Here the head NPP-2006 block is erected, prospects of serial construction will depend on implementation of this project in many respects. I will remind that on the basis of the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2 project the VVER-TOI new project is developed».

Washing of its technological systems on the open reactor becomes the main key event on on the construction platform of the new power unit. This work is planned for February 7, 2014.
Let's remind that start-up of the first NVO NPP-2 block is planned for the end of 2014.
