Interregional ecological movement “Oka”carries out the fourth stage of environmental monitoring of the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2 construction since December 10,2013.

Work of the ecologists takes place in a framework of the long-term program “Public Control in Nuclear Power” in the form of full-scale ecological expedition. Since 2010 it has already been fourth visit by the ecologists public men of the largest building of the Voronezh region.

During the whole 2013 representatives of Movement actively have been studing “theoretical” part, has been taking part in all stages of public consultations on discussion of the Annual statements draft of the JSC “Rosenergoatom” Concern and the prime contractor of construction of NVNPP-2 – JSC “Atomenergoproekt”.

Within the Commission of concerned parties questions of ecological, radiation and nuclear safety of the Russian power units of VVER-1200, which will work at the station, were considered.

Main directions of the expedition work: ecological, radiation, nuclear safety of NVNPP-2; features of construction of NVNPP-2, personnel structure on qualification, length of service, workforce recruiting geography; logistics of construction and incoming inspection; quality control system of installation and construction works.

Parameters of functioning of coolers, their ecological safety and possible influence on climate of the region became a special topic of researches.

Alan Hasiyev, the head of the expedition, the chairman of Ecological movement “Oka”, the expert of the Russian Federation State Duma of Federal Assembly, emphasized: “We trace all stages of this grandiose building. We see that the Russian nuclear scientists can design and build objects of world level on the safety and reliability which are absolutely competitive. It is interesting to us to know how the Novovoronezhskata NPP-2 promotes social and economic development of the region, attraction of investment ditch and to creation of new high quality workplaces. During the expedition visit of industrial park “Maslovsky” is supposed.

Following the results of the ecological expedition press conferences on December 13 is planned for the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2 in the Novovoronezh and Voronezh.
