Novovoronezh NPP Hits Target of April on Electric Power Generation for 102.78 %

In April 2012 the units of Novovoronezh NPP have produced 1,298 billion kWh of electric power. The electric power output target approved by the FTS of Russia has been hit for 102.78 pct. The electric energy system in April has received over 1,216 billion kWh of electric power, or 103.27 pct. of the target.

The Unit Capability Factor has made 98.30 pct. (target UCF – 95.65 pct.)
In total, since the beginning of 2012 Nv NPP has produced 5,312 billion kWh of electric power or 102.49 pct. of the FTS planned target. For 4 months the electric energy system received 4,977 billion kWh or 102.97 pct. of the plan. For two months UCF has amounted to 99.74 pct. (target UCF – 97.32 pct.).

Currently, Novovoronezh nuclear power plant operates Units 4 and 5. They operate at the capacity installed by the dispatch schedule. Unit 3 was stopped for the scheduled preventive maintenance and refueling.

In April 2012 safe operation conditions and limits of the units of the nuclear power plant were not violated.

The radiation background at the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power units’ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.

On line detailed data on the radiation environment near nuclear power plants in Russia and other nuclear facilities are provided on website www.russianatom.ru
