The Beloyarsk NPP: maintenance is on schedule
Planned refueling of the reactor BN-600 unit of the Beloyarsk NPP completed. Maintenance of the power unit equipment. In particular, the next major overhaul of the generator №5 and average repair of the low pressure turbine cylinder №6, as well as maintenance work on other equipment have been carried out.

The Beloyarsk NPP: planned activities will be carried out from April 7 at the power unit №3
On April 7, 2015 the power unit №3 with the reactor BN-600 of the Beloyarsk NPP suspends work in connection with the planned measures: refueling, maintenance and repair of equipment. In particular, it is necessary to perform overhaul repair of one of the turbogenerators.

Presently, the plant has one fast-breeder reactor with an electric capacity of 600 MW. It was launched in 1980 and is the first industrial fast-breeder reactor in the world.
The experience of 3rd unit of Beloyarsk NPP is a good basis for the further development of fast-breeder reactors. The unit is a prototype of bigger units with BN-800 reactors.
A comfortable modern city has been built for the constructors and employees of Beloyarsk NPP on the shore of a lake amidst picturesque pine woods. The city has a college that trains nuclear power engineers.
