The transpolar nuclear engineers hosted at their platform two delegations from Finland. The first delegation was represented by the old colleagues and partners of Kola NPP from the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority STUK. Specialists of the nuclear power plant held with them a number of meetings on the current and future projects of the bilateral cooperation.

Smolensk NPP: Ceremonial Reburial in Desnogorsk
On October 3, 2012 a ceremonial reburial of 269 Soviet soldiers, died in 1941-1943 in the Smolensk region, took place on the Barrow of Glory of Desnogorsk – a satellite city of Smolensk NPP. Their remains were found by the search elements “Vysota” (Altitude), “Obelisk” and “Za Rodinu” (Pro Patria) during Memory Watches of 2010-2012.

On September 28, 2012 in the conference-hall of the Administration of Neman municipal district, there were held the first inter-municipal “Parliamentary Debates” among youth teams of the Soviet urban district, Neman municipal district and Baltic nuclear power plant.
