Baltic NPP: Marathon of ТScience of FutureУ Goes On
The sports and intellectual marathon of ТThe Science of the FutureУ completed on the Day of the Nuclear Worker at the Information Centre for Nuclear Energy.
It was attended by students of 9th forms of educational institutions of the region. The contest stages called ТKosmodromУ (Spaceport), ТNanomirУ (Nanoworld) and ТHackerУ contained computer skills and land navigation tasks. And some tasks required the presence of a sense of humor of children.
Before the start of the contest, Svetlana Konovalova, a representative of JSC Baltic NPP, addressed the audience with parting words. On behalf of General Director, Sergey Buchelnikov, she wished the guys to choose professions related to the most advanced and promising industry, and wished the Day of the Nuclear Worker to become their professional holiday.
In overcoming the stages of the contest, the teams were helped by volunteers Р the 11th form students of Kaliningrad schools, constant participants of ICNE lectures.
The winners of the marathon were MAEI SGES (Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution Secondary General Education School) 12 and 33, Kaliningrad, which have got the 1st and 2nd places. And the jury of the most influential teachers of Kaliningrad schools awarded the 3rd place to the team of MSFEI SGES (Municipal State Funded Educational Institution Secondary General Education School) of the village Krylovo, Pravdino district, first taken part in the contest. The children from this rural school were the only to answer the question on Physics, and as a result they got more scores than the representatives of the city high schools.
The winner-teams got Certificates and a unique series of films The Creators of the Atomic Age dedicated to the stages of the formation of the nuclear industry, and all participants received prizes and gifts.
