Leningrad NPP: repair works on the 3rd block completed ahead of schedule

8 days before the assigned day turbine generator TG-5 of the 3rd unit of the Leningrad NPP was put into operation after scheduled repair on September 4 at 18:02. The power unit is operaing at 504 mW capacity at the moment.
In total there are four power units in work with total capacity of 3011 MW. Dispatching restrictions are done.
 
There are no remarks on work of equipment and personnel. The radiation background does not exceed natural background levels in the area of the station.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Sosnovy Bor in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units with electric capacity of 1000 MWt each operate at the nuclear power plant.
