The account and election conference of the Youth Organization has been held at Kursk NPP

The account and election conference of the plant Youth Organization with the participation of the enterprise young employees and specialists was held at Kursk NPP. The results of 2010 were summarized there, and a new head and the Coordination Committee of the association were elected.

Kursk NPP Director Nikolay Sorokin and the head of the trade union organization of the plant Gennady Polkhov took part in the conference work.

Executive Chairman of the Youth Organization, Head of Scientific and Technical branch Andrey Kazeev appeared with a report at the beginning of the event. He noted the main events held in the past year and appealed to the young people for them to take part in the young movement at the NPP in a more active way. According to the conference decision, the work of the organization in 2010 was recognized to be satisfactory.

The conference delegates elected a new head of Kursk NPP Youth Organization by an open voting. Engineer of Thermal Automatics Department Dmitry Sinichka was elected as the Head. According to the conference decision the members of the Coordination Committee, which is working with the youth on various thematic branches, were ratified as well.

In the end Kursk NPP Director Nikolay Sorokin told the gathered people about the youth policy led by Rosenergoatom Concern and its branch Kursk nuclear plant. He underlined that the work with the youth is of key importance for the nuclear industry heads not only for solving personnel problems, but also in the sphere of production and the enterprise social life.

“More and more young specialists and workers come to Kursk NPP, as well as to other plants of the Concern”, Nikolay Mikhaylovich noted. “We are interested in the personal and career growth of young people, because they will continue to our traditions and develop the nuclear branch already in the nearest future”.

At present Kursk NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 3 and 4. The actual capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule. Power unit No. 2 has been in scheduled major repair. The radiation background at Kursk NPP industrial site and its location corresponds to the set standards and does not exceed the natural background values.
