On 12 October, 2013, at 23 hours 03 min. according to the preliminary application approved with Interconnected dispatching office by power supply systems of the Center and the operating JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern» organization from, the power unit No. 1 of the Kursk nuclear power plant is disconnected from a network.

On the disconnected power unit repair work on the pipeline of sharp steam will be carried out.

Unloading and stopping of the block are executed according to the requirements of production schedules and maintenance instructions. At the end of the repair work the power unit will be switched on into the network.

There are power units No. 1 and No. 3 in work at the moment. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule. On power units No. No. 2 and 4 planned repairs are carried out.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
