On the Kursk NPP Commission on the readiness checks of the waterworks of the nuclear power plant to the passage of flood period completed the work. In checking on the eve of the spring flood occurrence was attended by representatives of the Upper Don RTN control, the Water Division in the Kursk region, the Main Emergency Management in Kursk region, the Department of Environmental Safety and Environmental Sciences of the Kursk region, members of the flood commission branch of the JSC Concern «Rosenergoatom «Kursk Nuclear Power Plant».

The outcome of the Commission on the basis of examination of the complex waterworks branch of the JSC Concern «Rosenergoatom» «Kursk Nuclear Power Plant», drawn up with the report, that the waterworks of the Kursk NPP are ready for spring floods of 2014.

There are power units No. No. 3 and 4 in work as of October 22 of this year on the Kursk nuclear power plant. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule. On power units No. 1 and 2 planned repairs are being carried out.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
