The Kursk NPP: foil fencer from Kurchatov won one of the stages of the World Cup

Inna Deriglazova, who is a foil fencer from Kurchatov, became the winner of the World Cup in fencing in the individual championship.

The event was held from March 21 till 23 in Turin (Italy). In the final Inna Deriglazova won a duel at the Olympic champion in a bitter struggle vs tournament hostess Elisa di Francisc with the score 10:9.

Before that Kurchatov athlete won three more representatives of the Apennine peninsula - Olga Kalissi, Bennedety Durando, Chiara Cini and two compatriots: Anastasia Ivanova and Julia Biryukova, as representatives of the Atomic City.

In the team competition the Russian team was a little less fortunate. In the final competition with the Italians our athletes lost with the score 35:45 and won silver medals. On the way to the awards Russians won against Mexico, Japan and Germany.

There are power units No. No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 in work on the Kursk nuclear power plant. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
