On the Kursk nuclear power plant on August 27, 2013 the next meeting of operational staff about construction of power units of replacement station - the Kursk NPP-2 took place.

Opening meeting, the deputy director of JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern» branch «Kursk nuclear power plant» - the branch director «Management of the Kursk NPP-2 Under Construction» Alexander Barinov expressed a general mood on as soon as possible to come to a platform and to start works of the preparatory period.

The agenda was aimed at implementation of this spirit. Readiness of necessary sets of documentation, which allow to start performance of the preparatory period works and the project documentation of the preparatory period of the Kursk NPP-2 to passing of examination at «Rosatom» State corporations were considered. Also were analysed a course of the agreement conclusion on performance of the preparatory period works of construction and preparation for carrying out public hearings.

Members of the staff made decisions for ensuring the fastest transition to practical actions on a platform of the forthcoming construction.

Representatives of administrations of Kursk region, of Kurchatov and Kurchatovsky district, heads and specialists of JSC «Rosenergoatom Concern», concern branches «Management of a construction of objects of the nuclear power plant», «Kursk nuclear station», «Management of the Kursk NPP-2 under construction», Design branch, JSC «NIAEP», JSC «Atomenergoproekt» (Moscow), other organizations participated in the meeting.

Power units No. No. 1, 3 of the Kurskaya nuclear power plant are in work at the moment. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule. No. No. 2, 4 power units are in the planned repair.

The radiation background on the Kurskaya nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
