The Kursk NPP produced more than 26 billion KWh since the beginning of the year

The Kursk NPP has produced 26.1 billion KWh of electricity since the beginning of 2014. November production amounted to $ 2 billion 992,4 million kilowatt-hours, which is more than the monthly targets, set by the «Rosenergoatom Concern», on 9,9%. 2 billion 785,5 million KWh was released to consumers. Consumers received more useful heat, then it had been in the plan.

These figures is a reliable foundation for the achievement of the annual target value for power generation in the amount, set by the «Rosenergoatom Concern", in case of safe and reliable operation of power units.

The Kursk NPP has generated more than 798 billion 732 million KWh since its start in 1976.

The Kursk NPP has power units №№ 1, 2, 3, 4 in work at the moment. They work with capacity, established by the dispatch schedule.

The radiation background is at level, that corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed natural background values, at the Kursk NPP and in the area of its location.

Updated information about the radiation environment near Russian NPPs and other nuclear facilities is provided on site www.russianatom.ru.

State of power production at the Kursk NPP units and other nuclear power plants of the «Rosenergoatom Concern" is displayed on the site www.rosenergoatom.ru.

The Kursk NPP, as part of the «Rosenergoatom Concern», is included into the electricity division of the State Corporation "Rosatom". The station is located 40 km south-west of the city Kursk on the left bank of Seym. The NPP has four operating units with RBMK RBMK-1000 reactors with total capacity of 4 million KW of electricity. Power units were connected to the unified energy system of the country in 1976, 1979, 1983 and 1985. All existing power units had technical modernization in 1994-2009. The Kursk NPP is the largest power generating source in the Central Russian Chernozem.
