The Kursk NPP developed 19.7% energy over the plan for 8 months

For 8 months of the year electricity generation of the Kursk NPP has been more than 17.8 billion kWh, which is more than the planned target by 19.7%.

In August 2014 the NPP produced 2 billion 026,4 million KWh of electricity, which is also higher than the monthly job.

Consumers were released 1 billion 859,2 million KWh.

In total since the start-up in 1976 the Kursk nuclear power plant has produced more than 790 billion 486 million KWh.
 
 There are power units № 1, 2 3 and 4 in work at the Kursk nuclear power plant. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule.
 
 The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.   Current information about a radiation situation near the nuclear power plant in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.

 The Kursk NPP as part of "Rosenergoatom" is included into the electricity division of the State Corporation "Rosatom". The station is located 40 km south-west of the city Kursk on the left bank of the Seym. The NPP has four operating units with channel RBMK-1000 reactors with a total capacity of 4 million KW. Power units were connected to the unified energy system of the country in 1976, 1979, 1983 and 1985. In the 1994-2009 period all existing power units have had deep technical modernization. The Kursk NPP is the largest power generating source in the Central Russian Chernozem region. Win of the Kursk NPP iin nstalled capacity of all power plants in Chernozem region exceeds 50%.
