Kursk NPP: the June plan on electric power generation has been fulfilled by 104%
In June 2011, Kursk NPP has generated 1 bln 774.8 kWh of electric power. The task was fulfilled: on electric power generation by 104% and by 105.8% on its supply.
The target figure of the month in the utilization factor of maximum capacity has been overfulfilled as well.
Since KuNPP commissioning in 1976 it has generated more than 705 bln 684 mln kWh of electric power.
At present Kursk NPP operates power units Nos. 1 and 3. Their actual capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule. Since April 22, power unit No. 2 has been under scheduled major repair. Power unit No. 4 has been under scheduled midlife repair since June 15.
The radiation background at the nuclear plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power units’ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
