From February 25th to March 1st, 2013 on the Kursk nuclear power plant the inspection of an account condition and control of nuclear materials took place. It was carried out on the basis of the Provision on the system of the state account and control of the nuclear materials, approved by the Government of Russia.

The purpose of the inspection – an assessment of existence and compliance of standard and administrative documentation to requirements of documents of federal and branch level regarding the account and control of nuclear materials, ability of the system of the state account and control of the nuclear materials to timely reveal losses and unauthorized use of nuclear materials.

The commission of representatives of Rosatom State corporation, Federal State Unitary Enterprise IPPE, Federal State Unitary Enterprise SСС Rosatom, JSC Rosenergoatom Concern have checked the organization of the account and control of nuclear materials on the Kursk nuclear power plant, have studied registration and reporting documentation, measuring system and quality control of measurements, have estimated control of nuclear materials circulation.

Following the results of work of the commission the conclusion that as a whole the system of the account and control of nuclear materials provides performance of the tasks defined in normative documents of federal level and level of the operating organization in this area is issued. The facts of unauthorized use of nuclear materials at the inspection wasn't elicited.
