Kursk NPP: on April 12 and 13 power unit № 2 will be defueled according to the approved permit down to the power level of 50 %
On April 12 and 13 power unit № 2 will be unloaded according to the approved permit down to the power level of 50 % in connection with the scheduled inspection of the safety systems adjacent to power unit № 1. The given inspections are provided by the schedule routine maintenance of power unit № 1, which has been under repair since April 1, 2011.
Unloading of power unit № 2 will be carried out according to the requirements of production schedules of safe operation.
As of April 11, power units Nos. 2, 3 and 4 of Kursk NPP are in operation. Their capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule.
The radiation background at Kursk NPP and in the adjacent territory corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
