Within the framework of the World Day of Occupational Safety and Health, a seminar with the heads of structure subdivisions, specialists in contracting organizations labor protection was held on April 29, 2011. This event, already a traditional one, has been organized for several years. This year seminar was organized under the motto: “Labor Protection Management System: the Way to Ceaseless Perfection”.

Deputy Chief Inspector of Kursk NPP Nikolay Dus, Head of Department of Labor Protection Yury Zakharov, Technical Director of the Trade-Union Valery Shulyak, specialists of labor protection department and public authorized persons on labor safety in the plant subdivisions took part in the seminar work.

Opening the event, Nikolay Dus read out Kursk NPP Director Nikolay Sorokin’s greeting to the seminar participants and marked the importance and sharp necessity of such a meeting organization.

“For many years Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC has been perfecting the system of labor protection in its enterprises, that allows us work practically without traumas”, - he said. – “The main purpose of the labor protection is industrial accidents prevention and as a result the workers’ life and health preservation. That is we must aim at and it is necessary to perfect the system of labor protection for. This is the topic of our today seminar”.

Head of Department of Labor Protection Yury Zakharov, specialists of Department of Labor Protection, Head of department therapeutic service medical unit No. 125 Lyubov Bezgodova appeared at the event participants. The results of the work for the previous year were summarized, the reports and information about the system of responsibility in the sphere of labor safety, working places attestation due to labor conditions, prevention of professional diseases were heard, the results of successfully conducted month’s campaign on electric safety were summed up, the video materials on safety engineering and the employees’ labor protection were demonstrated.
