On March 8, 2013, according to the coordinated demand, the power unit 2 will be removed for the planned average maintenance that will last for 94 days.
   
The routine operational inspections and the standard volume of average repair of the equipment will be made.

The repair program includes the measurement of technological channels parameters and the control system and protection channels and complete control of paths’ telescopic connections.

Currently, Kursk NPP operates Units 1, 2, 3, 4. They run at the capacity rated by the dispatched schedule.
 
The radiation background at the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory is at the level corresponding to the power units’ normal operation and natural background values.
