Kursk NPP: Kurchatov Foilswoman has won the Silver Medal at the stage of the World Cup in Fencing
Julia Biryukova, a pupil of Kursk NPP children and juvenile sports school, became the second at the stage of the World Cup in fencing, held in Budapest (Hungary).
In the final match, during a tense fight, the Kurchatov foilswoman gave away one score to her Polish rival Sylvia Grukhale, 14:15.
On her way to the silver medal, Julia Biryukova had won the foilswomen: Shi Yun (China), Olga Leleiko (the Ukraine), strongest Italian sportswomen Valentina Vezzali and Bendetta Durando, and Chyon Khi Suk from South Korea as well.
At present power units Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Kursk NPP are in operation. Their capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule. The radiation background at Kursk NPP and in the adjacent territory corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
