On March 28, 2012 Kursk NPP drew up results of the complex Spartakiada Games among retired pensioners of Kursk NPP, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Rosenergoatom Concern.

During the Spartakiada Games there were also held competitions on the darts, checks, and chess playing, in which members of the Kursk branch of MOOVK (Interregional Public Organization of Veterans of the Concern) - Board of Veterans, and former employees of Kursk NPP took part.

Awarding the winners of the competition and the most active members of the Veteran Sports Club, Stanislav Novitskiy, a Chairman of the sports committee of the Veterans Board, noted that the main target of the Spartakiada Games and the sports club work in general is, first of all, a union of people and their inclusion in physical training and sport.

Distinguished awards were given to Anatoliy Burkov, Tatiana Dobrynina, Vadim Safonov, Valeriy Varnakov, Lyudmila Kruzhilina, Vladimir Gadjiy and Raisa Eremina. It is noteworthy that the absolute winner of the checks competition became a woman - a former nuclear plant worker Tatyana Dobrynina.

"We are grateful to Rosenergoatom Concern and Kursk nuclear power plant for the fact that thanks to their support the veterans of the plant have an opportunity to actively engage in sports and keep themselves in good physical shape. That’s how is implemented a corporate support program of retired pensioners of the nuclear industry, which indicates a high level of social responsibility of Rosatom State Corporation,” stressed during the ceremony Eugene Kozarezov, a Head of the Kursk MOOVK branch.

At present Kursk NPP operates power units No.1,3 and 4. Their actual capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule. Power unit No.2 is under scheduled maintenance.
