A Corporate meeting on social and labour and personnel affairs of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC has been held at Kursk NPP

On June 2-3, 2011 a standing corporate meeting on social and labour and personnel affairs of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC was held at Kursk NPP.

Heads of the departments on personnel management, labor organization, wages and social guarantees of Rosenergoatom Concern; Deputy Directors on the nuclear plants’ personnel management, representatives of the central office of the nuclear power branch and industry workers’ trade union, Chairmen of the NPPs primary trade union organizations; representatives of partner organizations took part in it.

The participants discussed the working results of 2010 and the first quarter of the current year, the best practices and problematic questions of corporate social and personnel services of the NPPs and Concern on the whole. Among other topics for discussion there were recruitment and training of the personnel of Russian NPPs and foreign ones being constructed according to the Russian projects; organization of voluntary medical insurance and the problems of non-governmental pension coverage of Rosenergoatom Concern’s workers; optimization of the personnel management services structure; trade unions’ activity and their interrelation with the employer, etc.

As Head of the meeting at Kursk NPP, Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Director of the Department for Labor Organization, Salary and Social Guarantees Elena Andreykina reported, the measures and proposals, offered at the meeting, were aimed at improving the personnel’s involvement into the company’s activity and making the employees’ labor more productive and efficient.

At present Kursk NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 3 and 4. The actual capacity corresponds to the dispatch schedule. Power unit No. 2 has been in scheduled major repair since April 22 of the current year. The radiation background at Kursk NPP industrial site and its location corresponds to the set standards of power units’ operation and does not exceed the natural background values.
