The Collective Agreement for 2011 has been approved at Bilibino NPP

The Collective Agreement for 2011 has been approved at Bilibino NPP. In the course of reporting conference of the work collective, which was held on April 1, the participants unanimously adopted a decision to prolong the term of the BNPP Collective Agreement with the amendments introduced by joint decisions of the administration and trade union committee in 2010-2011, and in 2011 - before approval of a new Corporate Agreement of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.

The main objective of the Collective Agreement is NPP employees’ social security system. The existing Collective Agreement proved its vital activity in its every clause, - Deputy HR Director Evgeny Byakov mentioned, summarizing Collective Agreement performance results for 2010.

Generally, the social warranties have been retained in the Collective Agreement text with the amendments introduced by joint decisions of the administration and trade union committee. Moreover, the provisions of Industrial Agreement on Nuclear Power, Industry and Science for 2009 - 2011 and Concern Corporate Agreement for 2009 - 2011 are reflected in the document.

About 80 NPP subsidiaries delegates took part in the reporting conference. The day before the reporting conference the draft document had been discussed in the NPP subsidiaries. The bilateral committee analyzed comments and suggestions made by the employees. Some comments have been already taken into account in the Collective Contract. Other comments have been taken for analysis and its results will be communicated to Bilibino NPP personnel.

Summarizing the conference results Bilibino NPP Director Farit Tukhvetov expressed confidence that the existing social security of Bilibino NPP personnel would allow to continue providing reliable and secure NPP operation.

The Collective Agreement is a legislative act, which regulates social and labor relations between employer and employee on the base of parties’ mutual interests agreement, and it is concluded in accordance with the current legislation, Industrial Agreement on Nuclear Power, Industry and Science and Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Corporative Agreement in the field of labor and social relations for 2009 - 2011.

Bilibino NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located next to Bilibino city, in the Chukotka Autonomous District. Bilibino NPP operates four EGP-6 uranium-graphite pressurized tube reactors. Each reactor has capacity of 12MW (el.). The first power unit was commissioned in 1973, the second – in 1974, the third – in 1975, and the fourth one – in 1976. The plant produces about 75% of energy generated in Chaun-Bilibino isolated electricity system (upon that the system takes about 40% of energy consumed in the Chukotka Autonomous District).
