The Bilibino nuclear power plant was the first among the nuclear power plant of Russia to execute the annual plan on issue of an electrical energy ahead of the schedule. On November 7, 2013 at 24:00 in a power supply system 140,6 million kWh of the electric power were released.

There are No. No. 1, 2 and 4 power units in work at the moment. The power unit No. 3 is on the average repair.

The radiation situation around an arrangement of the Bilibino nuclear power plant and in a 30-kilometer zone of supervision is without changes. Level of the radiation background around an arrangement of the nuclear station is within natural background values.

The Bilibino nuclear power plant is JSC «Rosenergoatom» Concern branch. The station is located in the northeast of Russia, behind a polar circle, in a permafrost zone, in the territory of Chukotka Autonomous Area. On the nuclear power plant there are four same power units with the reactor EGP-6 installation with the established electric capacity – 48 MWt (are operated in case of simultaneous issue of heat from selections of turbine units of 67 Gcal/hour. In December, 1973 physical start-up of the power unit No. 1 (1974 – the power unit No. 2, 1975 of – the power unit No. 3, 1976 of – the power unit No. 4) was performed. The Bilibino nuclear power plant provides activity of the city of Bilibino, the mining and gold mining entities of the Bilibino area and supplies with heat an adjacent industrial complex and the residential massif, being the unique source of heat energy in the city.
