All-comers competitions on the arm wrestling took place on August 11 in the Small Hall of Recreation center of Bilibino. Fight for prize-winning places was conducted between six athletes.

In general offsetting the 1st place was taken by Salavat Garayev – the engineer of a block control panel of the reactor and turbine shop, the 2nd and 3rd places were taken by the military personnel of military unit No. 3537 (641 separate special commandant's offices which are located in the territory of the Bilibinskaya nuclear power plant and perform territory and object protection) divided the Rondeau Oleg and Valery Sedykh. It should be noted that fact that the military personnel from Military unit No. 3537 always participates in held sports competitions.

Athletes pleased fans whom to the word was more, than participants, with strong and fascinating fight. In completion took place a rewarding ceremony. Memorable gifts were handed over to prize-winners.

According to the head of the Youth organization of the Bilibinskaya nuclear power plant Boris Inozemtsev who was an initiator, the organizer of carrying out these competitions, and also took part in fight for prize-winning places, as a whole, interest to sports meets remained among inhabitants of our city, but it turned out to be more viewers, than applicants for a victory, nevertheless, everyone remained happy and held competitions with passion and enthusiasm.

Today most part of sporting events of this sort is carried out with support of Primary trade-union organization of the Bilibinskaya nuclear power plant, it would be desirable that a management and other organizations of the city supported a wave of revival of sports spirit.

The Bilibinskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" and in this quality is a part of the State corporation "Rosatom" on an atomic energy. The station is located in the northeast of Russia, behind a polar circle, in a permafrost zone, in the territory of Chukotka Autonomous Area. On the nuclear power plant there are four same power units with the reactor EGP-6 installation with the established electric capacity – 48 MWt (are operated in case of simultaneous issue of heat from selections of turbine units of 67 Gcal/hour. In December, 1973 physical start-up of the power unit No. 1 (1974 – the power unit No. 2, 1975 of – the power unit No. 3, 1976 of – the power unit No. 4) were performed. The Bilibinskaya nuclear power plant provides activity of the city of Bilibino, the mining and gold mining entities of the Bilibino area and supplies with heat an adjacent industrial complex and the residential massif, being the unique source of heat energy in the city.

There are power units No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 on the Bilibino nuclear power plant in work at the moment. The dispatching task is carried out. The power unit No. 4 is in planned average repair.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
