On February 20, 2014 at Bilibino NPP the emergency response exercise with elements of fire with the participation of operational staff RTC, ETS, CTAI, ORB, CTPK passed. Similar events have been held at Russian NPPs in a planned manner.

During the training interaction skills of operational staff in the change, with the fire and medical personnel, as well as other personnel involved formations were practiced; ability to provide first aid, use the means of collective and individual protection, fire extinguishing agents, and the willingness of staff to Bilibino independent, timely and correct actions was tested.

As the training director noted by its results - chief engineer of the Bilibino NPP Konstantin Holopov, - staff of the change coped with the tasks successfully.

There are power units No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 on the Bilibino nuclear power plant in work at the moment. The dispatching task is carried out. The power unit No. 4 is in planned average repair.   The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.   Current information about a radiation situation near the nuclear power plant in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.
