A team of bloggers consisting of eight persons, among which were Artemiy Lebedev, a well-known Russian designer and traveler, and Sergey Dolya, a traveler and business man, has visited Bilibino NPP on March 23, 2012.

There was held a study tour for the guests, during which they visited unit and central control rooms (UCR, CCR), central (reactor) hall and turbine island.

Grigory Khakhulin, a Deputy Chief Engineer for staff – Head of staff training centre, told about the basic diagram of operation of Bilibino NPP, main power units equipment, EGP-6 reactor design, and zone planning of the territory around Bilibino NPP (sanitary protection zone and surveillance area).  

The tour finished with a "round table", where Konstantine Ozerov, a Chief Engineer of Bilibino NPP, and other heads of the enterprise divisions answered the guests' questions.

At present, Bilibino NPP has operating power units No.1, No.3 and No.4. Dispatch tasks are performed. Power unit No.2 is under the  planned overhaul.  

The radiation background in the area of the plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power units’ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
