On 14 August the power unit №4 of the Beloyatsk NPP with the reactor BN-800 was visited by the famous rock-group "Chajf".

Musicians were in the engine room, in which turbine and block of new power control station are currently being assembled. Employees of the Beloyarsk NPP popularly explained to the musicians peculiarities of fast reactors and their strategic role in the process of closing the nuclear fuel cycle, spoke about the environmental safety of nuclear energy.
 
 "Many people are used to think that smart phones in our pockets - that's the miracle of technology, but when you come here and see these high-tech, you know, it's really a different scale, a different level of work", - said the lead singer of the "CHajf" Vladimir Shahrin.

During the visit, the musical group shoot a movie. The footage will be used in a congratulatory video dedicated to the Day of the nuclear industry.

The Beloyarsk nuclear power plant was entered into work in April, 1964. It is the first nuclear power plant in big nuclear power of the country, and unique with reactors of different types on one platform. The first power units of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant with reactors on thermal neutrons of AMB-100 and AMB-200 are stopped in connection with resource development. In operation there is the unique power unit in the world with the reactor on fast neutrons of an industrial power level of BN-600. In the stage of construction there is a power unit with the reactor on fast neutrons of BN-800. Power units on fast neutrons are urged to expand significantly fuel base of nuclear power and to minimize radioactive waste at the expense of the organization of the closed nuclear and fuel cycle.
