Auditors of Association on certification «the Russian Register» confirmed compliance of management system of professional safety and health (PBIZ CM), operating on the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant, to requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

Inspection was made on October 22-25 with the assistance of specialists of JSC «Klin Institute of Protection and Working Conditions OLS-komplekt».

«During the check our group collected enough of the objective data, testimonial that the CM of PBIZ of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant personnel conforms to the international standard, is supported in an efficient and effective condition, – the head of auditor group «the Russian Register» Alexander Potsebnev noted. – We talked with the personnel, verification of documentation of divisions of station. I will recommend to confirm the certificate of conformity CM PBIZ of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant».

Last year the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant took the first steps in PBIZ CM: the provisional estimate, certification and the first inspection check were carried out. During present check auditors noted the serious relation of nuclear scientists to this system and its development in the positive direction. These conclusions are confirmed also by the representative of the Klin institute of protection and working conditions Mikhail Drozhzhin.

It should be noted that in maintenance of CM of PBIZ are involved and are exposed to audit not only the manufacture workshops which personnel directly works with the equipment, but also all other divisions of the nuclear power plant, including departments of managerial structures. Both the reactor specialist, and the turbine specialist, both the electrician, and the accountant, and the filing clerk are all without an exception of a profession and workplaces are estimated about professional safety and health with development of actions for risk management.

The Beloyarsk nuclear power plant is entered into work in April, 1964. It is the first nuclear power plant in big nuclear power of the country, and unique with reactors of different types on one platform. The first power units of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant with reactors on thermal neutrons of AMB-100 and AMB-200 are stopped in connection with resource development. In operation there is the unique power unit in the world with the reactor on fast neutrons of an industrial power level of BN-600. In the stage of construction there is a power unit with the reactor on fast neutrons of BN-800. Power units on fast neutrons are urged to expand significantly fuel base of nuclear power and to minimize radioactive waste at the expense of the organization of the closed nuclear and fuel cycle.
