On May 28-30, 2012 Beloyarsk NPP was visited by the delegation of Rosatom State Corporation headed by Director of RPS Development, Sergey Obozov. The delegation included also the representatives of TENEX-Japan Co. Japanese company.

The purpose of the visit was to inform themselves about the process of implementation of Rosatom Production System at Beloyarsk NPP.

Rosatom Production System aims at increasing of the efficiency of work of enterprises through continuous improvement, alteration of scheduling algorithms and production management, introduction of lean production principles. It affects the assessment of stock reserves; work standardizing, staff training, search and elimination of all forms of loss (excessive operations, excessive movement of materials, and inefficient equipment of work places and distribution of working time).

At Beloyarsk NPP, Rosatom delegation found out more about integration of two assembly units of the new branch system “Repair” and “Warehousing”. The members visited work places at BN-600 unit, which is currently under the scheduled maintenance and equipment reparation, as well as the stores of the nuclear power plant. At the construction site of BN-600, they inspected the process of integration of the similar assembly units of Rosatom Production System in the construction, installation and warehousing of the unit.  

The stepwise implementation of Rosatom Production System at Beloyarsk NPP is underway the second year, and its positive results are already visible in the economic efficiency of the enterprise.

Beloyarsk NPP was commissioned in April 1964. It’s the first nuclear power plant of the largest nuclear power industry of the country and the only one with different operating reactors at the same plant. The first Beloyarsk NPP power units with thermal reactors AMB-100 and AMB-200 have been stopped due to resource exhaustion. The power unit with BN-600 fast neutron reactor of industrial power level nowadays operates as the unique in the world. The power unit with BN-800 fast neutron reactor is at present under construction. Fast neutron power units are designed to significantly expand the fuel base of the nuclear power engineering and minimize RAW by means of closed NFC management.
