Beloyarsk NPP: the January plan has been fulfilled by 103 %
In January of 2011 Beloyarsk NPP power unit operated at the nominal level and generated 453.3 mln kWh of electric power. The plan for electricity production has been fulfilled by 103.1%.
The utilization factor of maximum capacity for the month was 101.54%.
The radiation situation in the area of Beloyarsk NPP location and the adjacent territories corresponded to the normal operation mode and the natural background values.
Beloyarsk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC operating all nuclear power plants of Russia. Beloyarsk NPP operates the unique power unit with a fast neutron reactor of industrial power level - BN-600. The BN-800 power unit with a fast neutron reactor is being constructed. The fast neutron power units serve for substantial extension of the fuel base of the nuclear power industry and minimization of radioactive waste due to the closed nuclear fuel cycle. The first power units of Beloyarsk NPP with the AMB-100 and AMB-200 slow reactors have exhausted their potential.
