The Beloyarsk NPP during preparations for the start-up of the power unit №4 with reactor BN-800 completed another important step: the control analytical simulator was allowed for training and maintaining of block point staff by the commission from the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" after checking the readiness.

The trainer BN-800 is a complex of modern computer hardware and can simulate all possible, unlikely and impossible unit work modes. This is useful for testing personnel for clear and competent actions in all situations. Trainer not only helps to maintain the typical professional skills, but also teaches the correct sequence of actions in non-standard conditions, see the development of the process and the behavior of the equipment under various control actions.

- With the new high-tech training the Beloyarsk NPP has taken an important step in the development of training, - said the chairman of the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" commission, the head of Russian and foreign nuclear power plants staff training Nicholas Karelin. - In addition to the new simulator the Beloyarsk NPP has all necessary training materials, prepared instructors, as well as specialists, who are trained to operate the received equipment. The analytical trainer BN-800 will help operational staff to provide skills for quality and correct using of the equipment.

The Beloyarsk nuclear power plant was entered into work in April, 1964. It is the first nuclear power plant in big nuclear power of the country, and unique with reactors of different types on one platform. The first power units of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant with reactors on thermal neutrons of AMB-100 and AMB-200 are stopped in connection with resource development. In operation there is the unique power unit in the world with the reactor on fast neutrons of an industrial power level of BN-600. In the stage of construction there is a power unit with the reactor on fast neutrons of BN-800. Power units on fast neutrons are urged to expand significantly fuel base of nuclear power and to minimize radioactive waste at the expense of the organization of the closed nuclear and fuel cycle.
