Winners of Creative Project of State-Owned Corporation Rosatom Awarded at Balakovo NPP

November 23, 2012 – The award ceremony of the winners of the contest “The New Visualization” held under the auspices of Rosatom State-owned Corporation, took place at the Public Information Centre of Balakovo NPP.  

26 Balakovo residents, 15 of which were children - students of the city Art School, participated in the contest held as part of the project “Rosatom Culture Area”. For three days, under the strict guidance of the graduate of I. Federov Moscow State University of Printing Arts, Yekaterina Khlebnikova, students and their teachers were engaged in workshops related to the modern trends in the printing of advertising and book-printing.

Young participants of the project created own illustrations to the famous fairy-tale The Puss in Boots, and adults – to Krylov’s fables. According to the results of the contest, summed up by the strict jury in the capital, there have been decided the winners both at the national and intraurban levels.

Thus, Sergey Ezhkov was recognized as the author of the best work among adults from Balakovo, the 2nd was Natalia Sinyavina, and the 3rd was Lyudmila Chepenko. Among the young artists of our city, the 1st prize went to Lyudmila Bille, the 2nd prize was won by Vera Myasnikova and the 3rd was Irina Kurygina.

A teacher of Balakovo Art School took the 2nd place (the 2nd Gran Prix) within the framework of the general contest “The New Visualization”.

Director of the Art School, Vladimir Tumbakov, had a part in the award ceremony, where he admitted that the participation in that interesting creative Rosatom project has become a real event for the school: “This was a very special contest. A warm, kind creative windstorm has passed through the corridors. Everybody was involved: both children and adults. They crawled on the floor, glued something, tore paper – they took a dive into the process with total efficiency. We would like very much that such contests were held more often in Balakovo.”

All the prize-takers were awarded with the certificates of Rosatom State-owned Corporation, and the winners – with prizes. The main prize – Ipod Apple touch 4 – went to Grand Prix holder, Lyubov Samartseva.

“For me the participation in the contest of Rosatom was a full surprise. The tasks were very challenging, which required responsible and creative approach. At one point, excitement appeared, and there was a wish to do something special and unusual. When I knew about the victory, I was in raptures!” the winner shared her opinion.

The performance of creative teams of the Cultural Centre “Antares” of the trade union committee of Balakovo NPP has become the decoration of the evening.
