On November 24 at 23:42 the power unit №2 of the Balakovo NPP was disconnected from the network on the application permitted by emergency dispatchers of power system for troubleshooting of the generator stator.

Unloading and stopping of the power unit was done in accordance with the technological regulations of safe operation without any comments.

There are no deterioration of radiation conditions, violations of limits and conditions of safe operation.

The radiation situation in the area of the Balakovo NPP stays unchanged, rates of background radiation correspond to its natural (natural), long-term values for the European part of Russia - 0.08-0.1 microSievert / hour.

There are operating power units №№1 and 4 at the moment. The power unit №3 is on scheduled maintenance.
