The Balakovo NPP: plan executed on 104 percent in March

The Balakovo NPP fulfilled the planned target for March 2015 on 104 percent. The station generated 3171.48 million kWh of electricity at the plan of 3049 billion kWh last month.

The capacity factor (load factor) was 106.57%.

The Balakovo NPP worked safely and efficiently in March.

There are all power units in work at the moment.

The Balakovo NPP is the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" branch. The station is located on the left bank of the Saratov Reservoir, 10 km north-east from Balakovo. The NPP has four power units with updated VVER-1000 reactors (B-320 modification), installed electrical capacity of 1000 MW each. The first unit was commissioned in 1985, the second - in 1987, the third - in 1988 and the fourth - in 1994. The Balakovo NPP is one of the largest and most advanced Russian energy enterprises, providing a quarter of electricity production in the Volga Federal District. It supplies energy for the Volga region, the Centre, Ural and Siberia.
