Comprehensive complex inspection of industry of the nuclear materials physical protection, nuclear plants and storage of nuclear materials state was conducted from 21 to 30 May at the Balakovo NPP.

A committee of 13 experts of the State Corporation "Rosatom" inspected nuclear power plant operations on federal regulatory and industry documents in the field of physical security, perimeter inspected stations, equipment place of service time, departmental security, checked the actions of the security forces. And the Balakovo NPP once again confirmed the title of the best nuclear power plant, with honor enduring another difficult test: 40 out of 59 criteria gained highest grade "excellent" and 19 - "good." At the same time there were np comments and violations.

Such checks are carried out every five years on russian nuclear power plants. Previous inspection of the Balakovo NPP was also successful, without comment and violations. However, the current was harder because there were additional areas inspected, in particular, protection of  the information.

At the closing meeting of the audit the Department of the physical protection of the State Corporation "Rosatom" Head  Sergey Bobylev noticed conscientious attitude of the Balakovo NPP staff to the physical protection of the nuclear station.
