On the Balakovo nuclear power plant there passed final part of the annual tender «The Best Change of BShchU» on November 8, 2013. As a result of intense fight a change «Е» of a block control panel of the power unit No. 4 became the winner in the following structure: shift supervisor of the block Alexander Baryshev, shift supervisor of reactor shop Mikhail Fedorov, leading engineer of management of the reactor Alexander Bykov, shift supervisor of turbine shop Stanislav Kuzin, leading engineer of management of the turbine Igor Ponomarchuk.

As before, the winner of professional tender was determined by the amount of results of two stages: individual theoretical computer testing and practical exercise of change on the full-scale exercise machine of the educational and training center of nuclear station. When carrying out the first stage depth of the change  personnel theoretical knowledge of BShchU was estimated, contestants answered the questions of the computer Examiner program concerning rules and regulations in the field of an atomic energy use, modes of blocks operation, operating experience, labor protection, electro - and fire safety, ensuring radiation and nuclear safety. Four changes which have shown the best results, were allowed to the final part of the competition. During the accomplishment of the practical exercise on the full-scale exercise machine the contest committee under the chairmanship of the First Deputy chief maintenance engineer Anatoly Sirotin estimated practical skills of operation personnel work of BShchU: diagnostics of events, decision making and their implementation, control of the equipment condition and technological parameters, management from panels or by return of teams, team interaction; communication, resistance to stress.

Rewarding of the tender «The Best Change of BShchU-2013» winners will take place by tradition in the end of the year, during celebration of the energy Day.
