On February 12, 2011, at 06:09 p.m. power unit No. 4 of Balakovo NPP was connected to the unified energy system of Russia upon completion of preventive repair of thermal and mechanical equipment of the second coolant circuit. 

According to the process regulations and by agreement with dispatcher services of UES of Russia, 12.02.2011 at 11:30 p.m. the power unit was applied the nominal load.

There are no deviations in equipment operation.

Balakovo NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 3 and 4 with the total load of 3,100 MW. Power unit No.2 has been under scheduled overhaul since January 8, 2011.

The radiation background at the plant and in the adjacent territory is not changed, corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural background environmental values.
