Two athletes have successfully performed at the World, Europe and Russia Championship, according to the International Confederation of Kettlebell Lifting Masters (ICKLM), which is traditionally held in spring in the Russian city of Arkhangelsk (from March 29 to April 2). Balakovo nuclear scientists became champions of these prestigious competitions.

Igor Khvostov, a multiple winner of international competitions, kettlebell lifting coach of the nuclear power plant – leading engineer of the technical inspection department of Balakovo NPP, became a champion in the “strike” exercise. At the opening ceremony he was also handed a certificate “Internationally certified judge”. Igor Khvostov, having a great competitive experience, not once was invited to participate in judging at kettlebell lifting competitions.

Alexander Zadvornov, a debutant of the same level competitions, electric shop engineer, also became a winner of the championship in the “strike” exercise.
